Rock On! celebrates the music of America’s youth. This energetic show rejoices in the multicultural roots of rock and roll. Rock On! begins with rock and roll’s 1950’s origins by vigorously celebrating Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, and of course the King, Elvis Presley. Rock On! observes the Latin contributions to American Music with the songs of Ritchie Valens and Santana.. Rock On! reminds us how the Beetles, and the rest of the British invaders, forever changed America’s Pop Music.  Rock On! commemorates America’s diversity with the music of Motown! We also honor rock’s folk side’s contribution to the peace, women’s, and civil rights movement of the 60’s. From the turbulent 60’s, to the joyous disco 70’s, to the electric 80’s, Rock On! honors heavy metal bands and the female stars of rock and roll. Happy Days are Here Again takes Older Adults on a sentimental journey of song. This presentation will focus on the music of the 1920’s to the 1950’s. Jazz standards and Big Band selection made famous by Duke Ellington, Fats Waller,  Nat King Cole and other popular songs are presented. Happy Days Are Here Again features the humor and angst of the Blues. This presentation ends with the jubilant start of rock and roll with selections by Fats Domino, Ray Charles, Little Richard, The Platters, and The Coasters.

Famous American Composers includes music from Broadway and Pop Music Worlds. Composers featured are George Gershwin, Lerner and Lowe, and Cole Porter.
